| Project | Headland House |
| Location | Looe, Cornwall |
| Sector | New build |
We developed the concept design for a large replacement dwelling within the Cornish National Landscape (AONB) which would be a bold and exciting interpretation of the traditional ‘headland’ country house.
Taking inspiration from diverse sources such as the famous Cornish art-deco Gradna House in Looe, and the curved battlements of St. Mawes Castle, we designed a unique house based on a curvaceous, quatrefoil plan with 6 bedroom suites and extensive living accommodation arranged around a sweeping central stair core. The design featured a double-height living room with upper gallery to take in the stunning sea views, and a large rooftop terrace for entertaining.
